Most problems are settled fastest by telling us directly. This page sets out what to do, what we will do, and how long it should take.

Step one — raise it with us

Contact us at support@buildeasy.ng or +234 705 736 1208.

Include:

We will acknowledge within 1 working day and either resolve the matter or give you a written update within 5 working days.

What we can look at

For every order we hold the approved quote, the vendor’s receipt, the delivery record and delivery photographs. This means most disputes about what was ordered, what was paid and what arrived can be settled from documents rather than from memory.

You are entitled to see the vendor receipt for your own order. Our fee is always shown separately, so you can always check what went to the vendor and what came to us.

Disputes about materials

If the issue is quantity, condition or specification, see our Refund Policy — it sets out what we replace, what we refund, and the 48-hour window for reporting delivery problems.

Disputes about artisan work

Where work is disputed, we will look at what was agreed, what was done, and any photographs or site records. If a payment stage is still outstanding, we would advise you not to pay it until the dispute is settled. That decision is yours — BuildEasy does not currently take or hold artisan payments. Where the work falls short of what was agreed, we will press the artisan to put it right, and we may remove them from BuildEasy.

We are not the builder and do not supervise work minute to minute, so we cannot guarantee an artisan’s workmanship. What we can do is hold them to what they agreed, document what happened, and stop working with people who do not deliver.

Disputes between vendors and BuildEasy

Vendors should raise payment or order disputes on the same channels. Vendor payment terms are agreed per order and we will settle disputes against the order record.

If you are not satisfied with our answer

Ask for the matter to be escalated to the company director, who will review it personally and respond within 10 working days.

If you are still not satisfied, you may take the matter to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), or to any other body with jurisdiction. We will cooperate with any such review and provide our records.

Governing law

These policies and any dispute arising from our services are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the courts of Enugu State having jurisdiction.
